Every question, answered
Is Blue Diamond inside Madinat Zayed Shopping Centre?
No. We are outside the mall, on the street directly behind the Lulu Express building, near Wear Mart and Emirates Post. From the mall entrance opposite Al Ibrahimi Restaurant it is about 600 metres, roughly eight minutes on foot.
Where exactly are you?
Behind Lulu Express, outside Madinat Zayed Shopping Centre — beside Wear Mart, on Tawi Niqrah Street, in Al Danah, Zone 1, Abu Dhabi. Our Google Maps link lands on the door rather than the mall.
Is there parking?
Yes. Public parking nearby, usually available between 10:00 and 21:00.
How much does an abaya cost?
Ready-to-wear starts at AED 70 and made-to-measure at AED 100. The final price depends on the fabric and the detailing.
How long does made-to-measure take?
Normally 5 to 7 days. We take nine measurements and you come back for one fitting. A 1-day express order is possible on request, depending on the situation.
Do you alter an abaya I bought somewhere else?
Yes, any abaya, wherever you bought it. Alterations start at AED 10. Bring it in and we will tell you the price and the time before we start.
Do you deliver?
Yes, across the UAE and worldwide. You can send measurements over WhatsApp. Delivery is charged at the courier’s own rate — we do not offer free delivery.
Do you do wholesale?
Yes. We manufacture for independent modest-fashion labels, producing limited lines to their own patterns. Message us on WhatsApp to discuss it.
Which languages do you speak?
English, Arabic, Malayalam and Hindi or Urdu.
What time do you close?
We close at 11 PM every day. We open at 10:00 Saturday to Thursday, and at 16:30 on Friday.
Do you do embroidery and stone work on abayas?
Yes, and all of it is done in-house. The price depends on how long the work takes, the quality of the stones and how many are used, so we quote before any work starts. Allow two to three days on top of the usual 5 to 7.
How do I wash an abaya with stones on it?
With the utmost care. The stones are held on by thread and the chance of breakage is high. Dry clean it, or hand wash cold without wringing. Never put a stone-set abaya in a washing machine or a tumble dryer.
Is your embroidery done by hand or by machine?
Both, and both are done in-house. Some patterns are only possible by hand and some are cleaner by machine, so a single piece may use either or both. Every task is done in this building, including stone work.
Can you add embroidery or stones to an abaya I already own?
Yes, including an abaya bought somewhere else. Bring it in and we will check the fabric will carry the work, then quote the price and the time before starting.
Can you combine two abaya designs?
Yes. The sleeve from one design, the cut from another, the embroidery from a third. We cut our own patterns, so combining elements is ordinary work rather than a special request.
