Will you alter an abaya I bought somewhere else?
Yes, wherever you bought it. We do not charge differently for it and we do not need a receipt. A good deal of the alteration work that comes through this shop was bought in the mall.
What does an alteration cost?
From AED 10. A hem or a sleeve shortening sits at the lower end; reshaping a shoulder, replacing a zip or rebuilding a lining costs more. We look at the piece, tell you the price and the time, and only then start.
How long will it take?
Simple work is often same or next day. Anything structural depends on what is in the workroom that week. Ask when you bring it in — we would rather give you a date we can keep.

Is Blue Diamond inside Madinat Zayed Shopping Centre?
No. We are outside the mall, on the street directly behind the Lulu Express building, near Wear Mart and Emirates Post. From the mall entrance opposite Al Ibrahimi Restaurant it is about 600 metres, roughly eight minutes on foot.
What time do you close?
We close at 11 PM every day. We open at 10:00 Saturday to Thursday, and at 16:30 on Friday.
