Abayas in Abu Dhabi, from AED 70

Blue Diamond stocks ready-to-wear abayas from AED 70 in a showroom of over 100 square metres in Madinat Zayed, Abu Dhabi. Nida, crepe, linen, georgette, chiffon, cotton and silk are all in stock. We manufacture our own, so there is no wholesaler in the price.

Over 100 square metres given to abayas — the largest abaya floor in the area. Everyday through occasion, in every fabric we stock, and every piece on the rack was cut and sewn by us.

What does an abaya cost here?

Ready-to-wear starts at AED 70. Made-to-measure starts at AED 100 and goes up from there, following the fabric and the work rather than a markup we added on the way.

We manufacture, so there is no wholesaler between the cloth and the rack and no mall rent in the price. That is why we sit below the mall — not below the cheapest street shops, because the fabric is not the same fabric.

Which fabrics do you stock?

Nida, crepe, linen, georgette, chiffon, cotton and silk, all in stock to handle before you decide. Fabric is the thing customers mention most in our reviews, and it is the one thing a photograph cannot tell you — how a cloth hangs, how heavy it is, whether it creases when you sit down.

Can I change something on a piece I like?

Yes. Pick anything from the collection and we will alter the length, the sleeve or the fit, or cut the same design in a different fabric. Alterations start at AED 10, and made-to-measure from the same design starts at AED 100.

Do you sell sheilas and scarves too?

Yes — sheilas, hijabs, niqabs, pardhas, shawls and scarves, including a wide colour range. Customers regularly come in for an abaya and leave with the scarf to match it, which is the point of keeping both under one roof.

Questions customers ask

How much does an abaya cost?

Ready-to-wear starts at AED 70 and made-to-measure at AED 100. The final price depends on the fabric and the detailing.

Can you combine two abaya designs?

Yes. The sleeve from one design, the cut from another, the embroidery from a third. We cut our own patterns, so combining elements is ordinary work rather than a special request.

Can you add embroidery or stones to an abaya I already own?

Yes, including an abaya bought somewhere else. Bring it in and we will check the fabric will carry the work, then quote the price and the time before starting.

Open until 11 PM, every day

We are outside the mall. From the entrance opposite Al Ibrahimi Restaurant it is about 600 metres on foot, roughly eight minutes.
